Application Assistance

Help is just a phone call away. The Application Helpline offers instant software and application support. The Helpline can assist you with questions about the applications you run and your Ricoh hardware.

To access the Helpline you need a prepaid telephone card that can be obtained by contacting our office. It works very much like a pre-paid long distance card. Simply dial the toll free number and enter the PIN code located on the back of the card. The card will be validated and you will promptly be connected to a RBS Technical Specialist. The cards are available in 2-Call and 5-Call options. Supported applications include the following:

Operating Systems: DOS, Windows 3.X, Windows 95/98/2000, Windows NT, Macintosh OS 7.x, Macintosh OS 8.x

Network Operating Systems: Windows 95/98/2000, Windows NT, Novell Netware

Post Installation Consultation

Because we want to make sure the systems our customers acquire are the best possible fit for their business, Ricoh conducts a follow up visit with every customer. This ensures that the system is running correctly and is performing according to specifications.

After a new system is installed, Ricoh will conduct a quarterly survey. Because we realize that a company's document needs change rapidly, the survey will identify if the system is continuing to meet those changing needs. It will also determine if any additional training is needed or if there are any desired applications not being utilized.

Training

Ricoh offers both installation and integration support. We will train the key operators on the basics of the equipment, as well as tailor the training to focus on the specific applications the customer will be utilizing most frequently. And because there may be personnel changes or application changes during the life span of the equipment, we offer ongoing training opportunities.

If a customer's equipment becomes inoperable, the customer can bring in or send us their copy job and we will do the job for them to eliminate any inconvenience the "down" equipment may have caused.

Ricoh service maintenance contracts help keep a customer's systems up and running – and all for one fixed cost, which includes all parts and labor. So there are no surprises or hidden charges. By having a maintenance contract, expense approval is not necessary, and anyone within the organization can request a service call. This ensures that we are notified quickly that the system needs attention. Every service call includes preventive maintenance to keep the Ricoh system operating at peak performance. Potential problems are corrected before they occur.
